The Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) on November 25, 2024, issued the Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Fees, Fines & Charges) Regulations, 2024.
This shall come into force from November 26, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It shall supersede Schedule-I of JSERC (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2016 read with all amendments to that, as applicable to the subject matter of these Regulations.
• Regulation 3 provides the provisions for Fees on Applications and Petitions.
• Regulation 4 provides the provisions for Imposition of Fines and Charges.
• Regulation 5 provides the provisions for Payment of Fines and Charges, it states that fines or charges imposed by the Commission shall be paid within 30 days or by an extended date if specified in the order.
• Regulation 6 provides the provisions for Fees Payable on License, it states that all annual fees commencing from the Financial Year 2023-24 shall be paid by 15th April each year.
