Industry Specific ComplianceThe Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)  on November 14, 2024, issued a circular regarding the Transition to New regulations (CAR-CAMO, CAR-CAO).

The following has been stated: -

•DGCA has introduced new regulations (CAR-CAO and CAR-CAMO) effective from January 01, 2025, replacing existing CAR-145 and CAR-M regulations. CAR-CAMO covers Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisations, while CAR-CAO combines CAMO and maintenance activities for non-complex aircraft. 

•The transition mandates that by June 30, 2026, all aircraft must comply with either CAR-M or CAR-ML standards, and existing CAR-M Subpart F/G organizations must transition to CAR-CAMO or CAR-CAO approvals.
