Industry Specific ComplianceThe Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for State of Goa and UTs (JERC)  on November 20, 2024, notified the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Tariff determination from Renewable Energy Sources) Regulations, 2024.

The following has been stated: -

•Regulation 2 lays down various definitions of the terms like Conduct of Business Regulations and Energy Purchase Agreement.

•Regulation 3 specifies that these Regulations shall apply in all cases where tariff for a power generating station or a unit thereof commissioned during the Control Period and based on renewable sources of energy, is to be determined by the Commission.

•Regulation 4 specifies the General Reporting Requirements.

These Regulations shall extend to the State of Goa and the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.

These Regulations shall come into force from November 29, 2024, and, unless reviewed earlier or extended by the Commission, shall remain in force up to March 31, 2027.
