The Ministry Of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAFPD) on November 29, 2024, issued the Draft Legal Metrology (General) Second Amendment Rules, 2024 to further amend the Legal Metrology (General) Rules, 2011.
The following amendment has been stated:
• In the Legal Metrology (General) Rules, 2011, under the Eight Schedule Part VII B and the entries made thereunder have been substituted.
These draft rules have been provided for seeking comments from all stakeholders by December 30, 2024. The comments may be sent to email-ID: [email protected]/ [email protected].
They shall come into force on July 01, 2025.
