CBIC notified regarding the amendment in the older notification related to the tariff values of certain imported goods

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on November 29, 2024, notified regarding the amendment in the older notification no. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated August 03, 2001, related to the tariff values of certain imported goods.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that Table 1 of the mentioned notification shall be substituted, it outlines tariff values (in USD per metric tonne) for various commodities, including Crude Palm Oil ($1119), RBD Palm Oil ($1127), Crude Palmolein ($1129), RBD Palmolein ($1132), Crude Soybean Oil ($1117), and Brass Scrap ($5220). These values apply to specified goods under their respective headings for tariff classification.

• It further states that Tables 2 and 3 of the mentioned notification shall be substituted.

• This shall come into force with effect from November 30, 2024.
