The Ministry of Electronics & IT (MoE&IT) on November 29, 2024, notified regarding the steps taken by the government of India to address the issue of the addiction of children to online games.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has established the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and launched the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal for reporting cyber-crimes.
• It further states that a toll-free helpline ‘1930’ is available for assistance in lodging online cyber complaints, with special mechanisms for crimes against women, children, and financial frauds.
