The following has been stated: -
•The AICTE has clarified that a circulating news article claiming free laptops for students is entirely false and misleading.
•AICTE has not initiated any such scheme, and there's no official communication regarding this program.
•Students, institutions, and the public are advised to disregard this fake news and not provide personal information or make payments.
•AICTE will only communicate official schemes through its verified channels, including its official website and social media accounts.
