The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on November 29, 2024, notified regarding the restriction on the use of certain words by Trading Member/Authorized Person in their name.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states the deadline for Members and Authorized Persons to update their name with ROC/ROF and reflect the changes in Exchange records has been extended to December 31, 2024, considering ongoing compliance efforts.
• It further states that if trading members or authorized persons use restricted terms suggesting unauthorized roles beyond December 31, 2024, disciplinary actions including halting new client onboarding for Trading Members and their affiliated Authorized Persons shall be taken until compliance is achieved.
