The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on November 29, 2024, issued the Draft Legal Metrology (General) Amendment Rules, 2024, to further amend the Legal Metrology (General) Rules, 2011.
This shall come into force on July 01, 2025.
the following has been stated namely: -
• It states that under the Eight Schedule Part VI, Part C, and the entries made thereunder, shall be substituted, it provides the provisions for Clinical Electrical Thermometers with Maximum Device.
• It states that comments from all stakeholders to the draft rules shall be made by December 30, 2024, by email at [email protected] or [email protected].
