The Department of Telecommunication (DoT) on November 29, 2024, issued a notification regarding provisioning telecommunication services by the licensees through the Franchisee, Agents, and Distributors (Point of Sale).
The following has been stated: -
•Telecommunication Service Providers (TSPs) have been granted an additional 2-month extension (until January 30, 2025) to register Points of Sale (PoS) existing as of November 30, 2023, with full compliance required by February 01, 2025.
•TSPs must complete 50% of PoS verification during each extension month and report progress by January 01, 2025, and February 01, 2025. No further extensions will be allowed.
