The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW) on December 03, 2024, notified Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products (Packaging and Labelling) Amendment Rules, 2024 further to amend the Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products (Packaging and Labelling) Rules, 2008.
The following has been stated: -
•In rule 5, after sub-rule (3), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:-
(3A) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rules (1), (2), and (3), the specified health warnings for the second twelve months shall remain in force till the specified health warnings provided in paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Schedule are not amended.
They shall come into force from December 03, 2024.
