Industry Specific ComplianceThe Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on December 04, 2024, issued the Aadhaar (Authentication and Offline Verification) Second Amendment Regulations, 2024 to further amend the Aadhaar (Authentication and Offline Verification) Regulations, 2021.

The following amendments have been stated:

• in regulation 2, in sub-regulation (1), in clause (o), for the words “Requesting entity”, the words “requesting entity” shall be substituted.

• in regulation 22, in sub-regulation (4), for the words “Requesting Entities, Authentication Service Agencies and Offline Verification Seeking Entities”, the words “Every requesting entity, Authentication Service Agency and Offline Verification Seeking Entity” shall be substituted; and 

• in regulation 23, in sub-regulation (1), for the words “Requesting Entity”, the words “requesting entity” shall be substituted.

They shall come into force on December 04, 2024.
