Industry Specific ComplianceThe Revenue Department, Rajasthan on December 04, 2024, issued a notification regarding performing of Aadhaar authentication, on a voluntary basis, for establishing the identity of land/property owner for generating Aadhaar based unique land/property owner ID, using Yes/No or/and e-KYC authentication facility.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The informed consent of the resident shall be obtained for the purpose of authentication. The purpose for which the Aadhaar number and related information are being sought shall be communicated clearly to the resident and specifically the manner in which the Aadhaar number will be collected, stored and used, should be clearly communicated to the residents.

• Provisions related to exceptional handling shall be implemented

• There shall be no denial of any service or benefit to the resident on account of the failure of Aadhaar-based authentication.

• The resident shall be informed of alternate mechanisms of identification/verification because this approval of usage of Aadhaar authentication is permitted purely on a voluntary basis. EPIC ID may be used, as an alternative document for identification if the residents do not intend to authenticate using Aadhaar or Aadhaar is not available.
