Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Himachal Pradesh on December 03, 2024, issued a notification regarding the essential commodities in district Bilaspur.

District Bilaspur does hereby fix the maximum retail prices, including all taxes and other incidental charges, with respect to the following essential commodities that may be charged by the dealers or retailers in District Bilaspur with immediate effect. The table is attached to the document.

One plate of meat/chicken curry should have 200 grams net meat pieces i.e. at least a minimum of 5 pieces and 100 grams of gravy. 

Matar Paneer, PalakPaneer etc. must have at least 100 grams of cheese.

In the packed commodities i.e. bread/milk etc., the price, and date of packing should be as per the W & M Commodities Package Act, 1976. 

Every dealer/ shopkeeper shall display the price list of these commodities at the entrance of the business premises, which should be duly signed by the owner/manager. 

On the demand of the customer, every shopkeeper shall issue a cash memo/bill to the customer.
