The Labour Department, Govt. of Meghalaya on December 03, 2024, notified regarding the revised rates of minimum wages.
The following has been stated namely: -
•It states the revised rates of minimum wages for the categories of employment including agriculture, construction, mining, and various industries.
• It states the Minimum Wages + Revised VDA Payable:
o Unskilled: 300 + 119 = 419/-
o Semi-skilled: 340 + 134 = 474/-
o Skilled: 380 + 150 = 580/-
o Highly-skilled: 420 + 166 = 586/-
• The rates of minimum wages shall be effective from October 01, 2024.
