The Labour Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi on December 04, 2024, issued a circular regarding compliance with Supreme Court Orders on Air Quality Management in NCR.
The following has been stated: -
•In response to the Supreme Court orders and the Commission for Air Quality Management's directives, all District Incharges and relevant authorities are instructed to ensure strict compliance with measures for workers in construction, mining, and other affected sectors.
•These include providing community kitchens, hot water, and warming accessories for workers, particularly during the severe winter, using prohibited fuels in Delhi-NCR. Immediate implementation by employers in the NCT of Delhi is mandated.
