The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) on December 08, 2024, issued an advisory for Biometric-Based Aadhaar Authentication and Document Verification for GST Registration Applicants of Haryana, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Tripura.
The following has been stated: -
•The GST registration process for applicants in Haryana, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Tripura now includes biometric-based Aadhaar authentication and document verification.
•After submitting Form GST REG-01, applicants will receive a link for either OTP-based authentication or appointment booking at a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK) for biometric verification. Applicants must bring relevant documents, including Aadhaar and PAN cards, to the GSK for verification.
•Appointments must be booked within the specified time, and GST registration will proceed once biometric authentication and document verification are completed.
