Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Communications on December 06, 2024, notified the Telecommunications (Procedures and Safeguards for Lawful Interception of Messages) Rules, 2024.

The following has been stated: -

•Rule 2 specifies various definitions of the terms like authorised agency and competent authority.

•Rule 3 specifies the Interception of messages or class of messages by authorised agencies.

•Rule 4 specifies Obligations relating to Interception.

They shall come into force on December 06, 2024.
