The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW) on December 10, 2024, amended an older notification No. S.O. 2237(E), dated June 01, 2018, related to Medical Devices Rules.
The following has been stated: -
•The Central Government has amended the Medical Devices Rules, 2017, by updating the notification S.O. 2237(E) dated June 01, 2018.
•The amendments include adding "Surgical Gloves" and "Medical Examination Gloves" after "Condoms" and "Disinfectant" in the relevant sections. "Surgical Gloves, Medical Examination Gloves, Cotton Bandages, Anticoagulant Solutions used in blood bags, and Disposable Syringes" are added after "Falope Rings."
•These changes are reflected in the updated notification table.
