The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on December 09, 2024, issued the Draft Rules for Automatic Catch Weighing Instruments under the Legal Metrology (General) Amendment Rules, 2024.
This shall come into force on July 01, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• These rules shall be called the Legal Metrology (General) Amendment Rules, 2024.
• In the index of the Schedule of the Legal Metrology (General) Rules, 2011, in the Seventh Schedule, a new heading shall be inserted “Heading G, Automatic catch weighing instruments” after Heading F.
• In the “Seventh Schedule, after “Heading F” and the entries relating to it, the new Heading and entries shall be inserted “Heading G, Automatic Catch weighing instruments”.
• All stakeholders shall send their comments by January 08, 2025, to email id - [email protected] or [email protected].
