The Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on November 26, 2024, notified regarding the extension of the period for re-appraisal of the ECs granted by DEIAAs.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the Supreme Court has extended SEIAA's time for quarry re-appraisal until March 31, 2025, applicable only if the EC is valid, and directed parties to apply within three weeks from November 12, 2024, if not already done.
• It further states that the consent for quarries can be granted until March 31, 2025, if the DEIAA-issued EC is valid and the applicant applies for SEIAA re-appraisal within three weeks from November 12, 2024.
