Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Goods and Service Tax Network (GSTN) on December 15, 2024, issued an advisory for Biometric-Based Aadhaar Authentication and Document Verification for GST Registration Applicants of Chhattisgarh, Goa, and Mizoram.

The following has been stated: -

•From December 15, 2024, GST registration applicants in Chhattisgarh, Goa, and Mizoram will undergo biometric-based Aadhaar authentication and document verification. 

•Applicants may receive a link for either OTP-based Aadhaar authentication or to book an appointment at a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK) for biometric verification. Required documents, including Aadhaar and PAN cards, must be presented at the GSK during the appointment. 

•The process will ensure completion of registration after biometric and document verification.
