Industry Specific Compliance The Government of Meghalaya on August 28, 2024, issued a notification regarding the enforcement date of the Meghalaya (Benami Transactions Prohibition) Rules, 2024,

The following has been stated: -

•The Governor of Meghalaya, exercising powers under Section 9 of the Meghalaya (Benami Transactions Prohibition) Act, 1980 has issued a notification to implement the Meghalaya (Benami Transactions Prohibition) Rules, 2024.

•These rules will come into force on August 28, 2024.
