The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram on December 12, 2024, issued a letter to all the NGOs (companies, schools, hospitals, etc) notifying the PoSH Act compliance checklist.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the internal committee shall provide an Annual Report of compliance under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 in the prescribed format to the District Officer, for the year January 01, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
• It provides a comprehensive checklist for PoSH Act Compliance:
o Internal PoSH Policy: Develop and implement a policy to prevent and redress sexual harassment.
o Internal Committee Formation: Establish an Internal Committee (IC) as mandated by the Act.
o Awareness Programs: Conduct orientation and training sessions for all employees, including contractual staff.
o Notices Display: Post notices about the organization's stance on sexual harassment in visible areas.
o Annual Reporting: Include details on complaints received, resolved, and pending cases in the annual report.
