The Labour Department, Rajasthan on December 13, 2024, notified regarding the revised minimum wage rates in respect of workers employed in certain industries.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The minimum rates of wages are revised from January 01, 2023, as follows in relation to the employees/workers employed in:
o domestic workers
o brick kiln industry
o Sales Promotion
o labor-employment generating schemes (except Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme)
• It states that the Minimum wage for domestic workers revised to ₹923.22 per month for 60 hours of work.
• It includes provisions for overtime pay and classifications of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled labor.
• The revision is based on consumer price index data from July 2021 to December 2022.
