The Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) on August 07, 2024, issued a notice to all the Thermal Power Plants and Fly Ash Brick/Block Manufacturing Units operating in the state of Odisha.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It is stated that all the TPPs were required to submit monthly information regarding ash generation and utilization in the web portal of CPCB.
• To cross-check the genuine users, SPCP has developed a registration portal for all such units engaged in manufacturing fly ash brick/lock, which receive ash from Thermal Power Plants in Odisha.
• It further states that all the TPPs shall supply fly ash only to all such units that have valid registration with the portal of SPCB, Odisha.
