The Government of Punjab on December 11, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Public Holidays for the year 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•Employees may take four half-day leaves to participate in Nagar Kirtan/Shobha Yatra during the year 2025 for specific occasions like the birthdays and martyrdom days of Sikh Gurus, religious festivals like Eid, Maha Shivratri, and others.
•These leave days are applicable only for reserved holidays, and records must be maintained by the controlling authority.
•Notably, the Rakhi festival falls on August 09, a Saturday.
