The Nagaland State Pollution Control Board (NSPCB) on December 12, 2024, issued a format for the Submission of Applications for the Categorization of material as a By-Product.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It provides a format for industries to apply for categorizing certain materials as by-products rather than waste.
• It provides that the application shall require detailed information about the material, including its origin, composition, intended use, and justification for its classification as a by-product.
• It further provides that the applicants shall provide a rationale for why the material should be classified as a by-product.
