EHS ComplianceThe Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) on October 10, 2024, notified regarding Guidelines for Hazardous and Management of Red Mud Generated from Alumina Plants.

It is intimated that the Central Pollution Control Board has prepared the following guidelines under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, for management of High-Volume Low Effect Waste such as fly ash, phosphogypsum, red mud, jarosite, slags from pyrometallurgical operations, mine tailings and ore beneficiation rejects which are available on the Central Pollution Control Board website at https://cpcb.nic.in/cpcb-technical-guidelines-sops/

It is requested to ensure the compliance of the abovesaid guidelines and also bring it to the notice of concerned stakeholders/entities for their information and necessary.
