The Karnataka Legislative Assembly on December 17, 2024, issued the Mysuru Development Authority Bill, 2024 to provide for the establishment of a development authority for the development of the City of Mysuru and areas adjacent thereto.
The foremost provisions are as stated:
• Constitution and incorporation of the Authority
• Disqualification for office of member
• Term of office and conditions of service of members
• Removal of member
• Eligibility for reappointment
• Meetings of the Authority
• Appointment of committees
• Powers of authority
• Authority may compromise claims by or against it
• Appointment of Commissioner
• Power of Authority to undertake works and incur expenditure for development, etc
• Particulars to be provided for in a development scheme
It shall come into force on such date, as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint.
