The Ministry of Textiles on December 17, 2024, fixed the maximum ex-factory price for the 580 gm ‘Type-A & ‘Type-B’ Jute Bag.
The following has been stated:
• Type A & Type B bags of the size 94cm x 57 cm/HD., 580 gm mass per bags, ends per dim, pecks per dm., as specified in the BIS Specification IS: 16186:2014 respectively with additional identification marking as per extent orders/instructions, shall be purchased or sold during the month of December, 2024.
• Every bag is to be printed/marked with emblem to specified in the PCSO issued by the O/o Jute Commissioner, Kolkata with the name of the manufacturing mill printed on it as well as BIS certification marking. The average minimum breaking strength shall be as provided in the aforesaid specification of BIS.
• The price fixed under this Notification shall be exclusive of GST which shall be paid in addition to the ex-factory price by the purchaser.
