The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on December 18, 2024, issued a notification regarding the "Telescopic Channel Drawer Slider" falling under tariff item 8302 4110, 8302 4190, 8302 4200 or 8302 4900 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.
In the matter of “Telescopic Channel Drawer Slider” falling under tariff items 8302 4110, 8302 4190, 8302 4200 or 8302 4900 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 originating in or exported from China PR (hereinafter referred to as the subject country) and imported into India, the designated authority in its preliminary findings vide notification No. 6/13/2023-DGTR, dated April 19, 2024, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part I, Section 1, dated April 19, 2024, had recommended the imposition of provisional anti-dumping duty on the imports of subject goods, originating in, or exported from the subject country.
The following has been concluded:
• the subject goods have been exported to India from the subject country at dumped prices;
• the domestic industry has suffered material injury;
• material injury has been caused by the dumped imports of the subject goods from the subject country, and has recommended imposition of definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject goods, originating in or exported from the subject country and imported into India, in order to remove injury to the domestic industry.
The anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall be effective for a period of five years from the date of imposition of the provisional anti-dumping duty, that is, June 27, 2024, unless revoked, amended or superseded earlier, and shall be payable in Indian currency.
