The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on December 19, 2024, issued a circular regarding modifications in contract specification of Mentha Oil Futures Contracts.
The following has been stated: -
•The Exchange has modified the contract specifications for Mentha Oil Futures contracts for June 2025 and onwards, effective from January 01, 2025.
•The key changes include the price quote being revised to "Ex – Barabanki" only, and the quality specifications being updated with a minimum L-Menthol content of 68% (down from 73%) and a total menthol content of at least 73%. These changes apply to all contracts expiring from June 2025 onwards.
•Members are requested to inform their clients about these modifications.
