The Government of Rajasthan on December 19, 2024, notified Rajasthan Transparency in Public Procurement (Third Amendment) Rules, 2024 further to amend the Rajasthan Transparency in Public Procurement Rules, 2013.
The following has been stated: -
•The existing clause (a) of sub-rule (2) of rule 17 shall be substituted by the following, namely:-
(a) The procuring entity shall solicit a bid from a single prospective bidder and shall also exhibit the invitation to bid on the State Public Procurement Portal if the value of procurement is rupees one lakh or more. The procuring entity shall not exhibit the invitation to bid on the State Public Procurement Portal where,-
(i)The services of a retired government servant are required under the proviso to clause (a) of sub-rule (1); or
(ii)The procuring entity thinks that the subject matter for procurement is of nature specified in clause (e) or (h) of sub-section (1) of section 31. However, in case where services of a retired government servant are hired, the work order shall be uploaded on the State Public Procurement Portal.
They shall come into force from December 19, 2024.
