The Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC) on December 18, 2024, issued the Draft Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Intra-State Open Access in Madhya Pradesh) Regulations, 2021 (Revision-I) (Fifth Amendment) {ARG-24(I)(v) of 2024}, to further amend the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Intra-State Open Access in Madhya Pradesh) (Revision-I) Regulations, 2021{ARG-24(I) of 2022}.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In regulation 5, a new proviso after proviso 5 shall be inserted it states that the Open access for electricity transmission to obligated entities is prohibited if their renewable power purchase obligations for the previous financial year are unmet.
