The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on November 20, 2024, issued the notification regarding the PAN Capturing Mandatory for All Food Business Operators for Grant/Renewal/Modification of FSSAI License/Registration.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has made Permanent Account Number (PAN) mandatory for applying new License/Registration or its renewal or modification, with effect from October 22, 2024, in Food Safety Compliance System [FoSCoS] portal.
• All the Food Business Operators are advised to proceed as per the following instructions: -
o Existing Licensed/Registered Food Business Operators [FBOs], whose renewal or modification is not due in near future, shall update the PAN details under FOSCOS User Profile Section at the earliest.
o In case of FBOs applying for Registrations do not possess the PAN, a declaration is required to be given for non-possession of PAN.
o Keep contact details updated under FoSCoS user profile section for receiving regular communications from FSSAI
