The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) on January 30, 2024, notified regarding the processing fees for Authorizations issued as per the Hazardous and Other Waste (M & TM) Rules, 2016.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It introduces processing fees for various authorization applications under environmental regulations. These fees apply to applications related to hazardous waste management, biomedical waste management, e-waste management, and plastic waste management.
• It specifies the fee structure based on the industry scale and the type of authorization sought.
• It also outlines the procedure for fee payment and submission of applications.
• It states that from February 20, 2024, applications for three types of authorization will only be accepted after processing fees are paid via the e-payment gateway on the web portal.
