The Commission for Air Quality Management in the National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) on December 16, 2024, notified regarding the implementation of actions under Stage-IV (‘Severe+’ Air Quality) of the Graded Response Action Plan in Delhi-NCR.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that GRAP Stage-III was invoked in Delhi as AQI worsened, breaching the 400 mark due to poor meteorological conditions and pollutant dispersion.
• Accordingly, in pursuance of the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s directives, the Sub-Committee has invoked Stage IV of GRAP, adding stricter measures to those already enforced under Stages I to III.
