The Government of Maharashtra on December 30, 2024, issued a circular regarding revised procedures for crediting monthly contributions under the National Pension System to PRAN Accounts.
The following has been stated: -
•The Maharashtra Government has revised the procedure for crediting state employees monthly contributions under the National Pension System (NPS). The Drawing and Disbursing Officer will now recover only the employee's contribution (10% of Basic Pay, Dearness Pay, and Dearness Allowance) and exclude the employer's contribution. Salary payments for NPS participants, including All India Service officers, must be submitted separately by the 22nd of each month.
•The employee contribution will be categorized and deposited according to the relevant scheme code. The Drawing and Disbursing Officer provides the necessary schedule with payment details.
