The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) on December 27, 2024, notified the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Technical Standards and Specifications including Safety Standards for City or Local Natural Gas Distribution Networks) Third Amendment Regulations, 2024 to further amend the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Technical Standards and Specifications including Safety Standards for City or Local Natural Gas Distribution Networks) Regulations, 2008.
The following has been stated-
•In First Proviso to Clause (g) of sub-regulation (1) of Regulation (2), for the words beginning with “if required,” and ending with “…compression facilities”, the following shall be substituted, namely: - “If required, subject to prior approval from PNGRB, the authorized entity may set up and operate compression facilities along with such CGS for an initial period of two (02) years from the date of approval of the Board. Further extension for operating such compression facilities along with CGS may be considered by the Board, on case-to-case basis. Upon expiration of approved period, the authorized entity shall immediately cease the operation of such compression facilities.”
