The Government of Andhra Pradesh on December 11, 2024, notified the Andhra Pradesh Textile, Apparel and Garments Policy (4.0) 2024-29.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government of Andhra Pradesh has introduced the "Textile, Apparel and Garments Policy (4.0) 2024-29" after reviewing the previous policy (2018-23), which couldn't be implemented due to a lack of operational guidelines.
•The new policy aims to foster investor-friendly industrial growth and employment generation. It will be effective for five years, with incentives extended according to the operational guidelines to be issued by the Commissioner of Industries.
•Additionally, the Director of Industries is tasked with issuing guidelines for the 2018-23 policy to allow eligible units to claim incentives until the new policy is operational.
