The Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) on November 14, 2024, issued the Andhra Pradesh Semiconductor and Display Fab Policy (4.0) 2024-29.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The policy shall apply to new enterprises establishing units and existing enterprises investing in expansion or diversification.
• It aims to attract investments in semiconductor fabs, display fabs, OSAT, ATMP, compound semiconductors, and emerging sub-sectors to build a self-sustaining semiconductor ecosystem.
• It offers subsidies and incentives for Projects approved under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) Scheme.
• The operating guidelines for this policy will be issued separately detailing the definitions of various terminologies and procedures for availing incentives under this policy.
