The Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) on December 12, 2024, issued the Andhra Pradesh Information Technology (IT) & Global Capability Centers(GCC) Policy (4.0) 2024 -2029.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It aims to position Andhra Pradesh as an IT leader by fostering innovation, infrastructural development, and flexible careers while leveraging deep tech, AI, and a skilled workforce to drive a sustainable and inclusive digital economy.
• The policy focuses on creating a global talent hub with mass employment, enhancing human capital through continuous skilling, prioritizing advanced deep tech, and enabling ease of living and working through technology.
• It provides the policy’s framework: It shall adopt a 3-model approach with tailored incentives for developers, users, and large projects to address diverse stakeholder and value chain needs.
• The operating guidelines for this policy will be issued separately detailing the definitions of various terminologies and procedures for availing incentives under this policy.
