The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on December 30, 2024, notified regarding the imposition of Minimum Import Price (MIP) on import of Soda Ash covered under Chapter 28 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule-I (Import Policy).
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the MIP of Rs. 20,108 per MT is imposed on Disodium Carbonate (Soda Ash) covered under Chapter 28 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule - I (Import Policy) up to June 30, 2025.
• It further states that the existing 'Free' import policy shall be in effect starting from July 01, 2025, unless expressly amended by subsequent notification.
