The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) on December 30, 2024, issued the Environment (Protection) Third Amendment Rules, 2024, to further amend the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986.
This shall come into force from December 31, 2024.
The Following has been amended in the Schedule – I, serial number 25, Table 1, namely: -
• Against serial number 1, in the entries under column (5), the words and figures “Up to 31st December, 2024” shall be substituted with the words and figures “Up to 31st December, 2027.”.
• Against serial number 2, in the entries under column (5), the words and figures “Up to 31st December, 2025” shall be substituted with the words and figures “Up to 31st December, 2028.”.
• Against serial number 3, in the entries under column (5), the words and figures “Up to 31st December, 2026” shall be substituted with the words and figures “Up to 31st December, 2029.”.
• In the entries under column (7), the words and figures “Up to 31st December, 2027” shall be substituted with the words and figures “Up to 31st December, 2030.”.
