Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Government of Kerala on December 31, 2024, issued a notification that the E-way bill has been made mandatory for the movement of gold and other precious stones worth Rs 10 lakh or above.

E-way bill has been made mandatory for intra-Kerala movement of gold and other precious stones (HSN Chapter 71) worth Rs 10 lakhs and above from January 01, 2025.

Such intra-state movement of goods whether for supply or non-supply (exhibition, job work, hallmarking etc.), purchased from unregistered persons.

As the case may be, Part-A of the e-Way Bill should be generated from January 01, 2025, onwards if the concerned movement of goods is carried out by the registered person/firm.
