Industry Specific ComplianceThe National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on December 31, 2024, issued a notification regarding guidelines for volume cap for Third Party App Providers (TPAPs) in UPI.

The following has been stated: -

•The timeline for compliance with volume cap guidelines for Third-Party App Providers (TPAPs) in UPI, as per earlier circulars, has been extended by two years. 

•Existing TPAPs exceeding the cap must comply until December 31, 2026. This extension considers various factors impacting compliance. The update follows earlier circulars from November 2020 and December 2022.
