Secretarial ComplianceThe Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on December 31, 2024, issued a circular regarding the Inter-Depository Transfers and Penalty for Non-Movement of Payout Securities on Trading Holidays.

The DPs are advised to take note of the following:

• List of Trading Holidays for the calendar year 2025 as mentioned below on which no IDTs will be exchanged between the depositories and no penalty will be levied for non-movement of payout securities on the said trading holidays.

• The CDSL system will not allow to setup/upload IDTs with execution date as the date of the below-mentioned trading holidays.

• Delivery Instruction Slips (DIS) for inter-depository transfers with execution date as date of the following trading holidays should not be accepted.

• Although inter-depository transfers will not be exchanged on trading holidays, CDSL system will be available to users for all other type of transactions including setup/upload of future dated IDTs on Trading Holiday except January 26, 2025, August 15, 2025, and October 02, 2025.
