The Ministry of Power (MoP) on December 31, 2024, issued the Transmission Scheme under the TBCB mode for Green Hydrogen/Green Ammonia projects.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Central Government, on the recommendations of the 25th meeting of the National Committee on Transmission, has notified the following transmission scheme under the TBCB mode:
o Transmission system for proposed Green Hydrogen / Green Ammonia projects in Kakinada area (Phase-I) - Establishment of a 765/400 kV substation with a capacity of 3x1500 MVA
o Transmission system for proposed Green Hydrogen/ Green Ammonia projects in the Tuticorin area - Modification of existing transmission scheme to include additional infrastructure
• It provides the implementation timeline for the projects that is 24 months from SPV transfer.
