The Ministry of Coal (MoC) on January 02, 2025, notified regarding the National Coal Index with the Base year 2017-18 for the month of November 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The National Coal Index with Base year 2017-18, is compiled based on approved methodology.
• The provisional indices for November 2024 are released and the National Coal Index for different Sectors/Sub-Sectors is given in the document below, such as Indian Coal Index: 134.52 (down from 135.99 in October).
• Prices for various coal grades based on November 2024 data are provided.
